Today, we did some quick brainstorms to gather ideas in order to be ready for tomorrow, where we will create our concepts. We'll show the ideas we've gathered and explain how we came to them.
After our visit to Brussels, we did a quick brainstorm and ended up with a total of 65 unique solutions for our four main problems. These problems have been established yesterday, so as a reminder, the following issues are our main focus:
- Communicate information to the biker
- Communicate information to the driver
- Possible methods of warning "levels"
- Communication with blind/deaf/disabled people
We brainstormed around these ideas, individually coming up with multiple solutions to a problem. When we were out of ideas, we moved on to the next problem. Finally, we scrapped the doubles and reorganized all ideas onto 4 A4 papers, as seen below:
We then proceeded to pick the solutions with the most potential and placed them in a morphological chart. On every row, we noted down one of the four problems mentioned above. In all the columns next to those; the solutions to all problems. This yielded the following result:
Now that we have both a morphological chart, some ideas and practical information we gathered from Brussels, we're ready to start developing our three concepts tomorrow!
